Writers

(Freelance)

Writers are the heart and soul of the Youth Cafe website. We create the content and share the art through our written word. We are looking for writers who are willing to be assigned content but are also wanting to bring topics and ideas to the table. Freelance writers will be assigned stories revolving around fashion, food, events, concerts, pop-ups, art, and much more. Getting to know you more, the Youth Cafe team will find your niche and assign you to project based on your passions. If you have a preference, please note.

Main writers are a part of the Youth Cafe team and should be reliable and will be the main writer on the east coast. Additional info will be given after application is sent and reviewed. Main Writers will be required to have education is Journalism.

Starting Pay $0.02 per word (Subject to increase, never decrease) 

​

Prefer: 

- A degree in Journalism or proof that you have educational experience in Journalism 

​

Requirements: 

- Lives near Los Angeles

- Knowledge of proper grammar

- Proof of previously written content (asked for after submitting app)

- Knowledge of proper spelling

- Knowledge of MLA quoting and citing
